The first part of the Tutorial handouts has been published in the EFCS website. To see the downloadable PDF you must login the reserved pages (some days ago You received the account parameters - if you lost the message, you can rescue both login name and password using only your e-mail address).

The 6th Annual EFCS Tutorial will be hosted in Hotel de Guimarães, one of the suggested accommodations in the center of the city. All lectures and workshops will occur in the hotel conference room, lunch will take place at the hotel restaurant.

The 6th EFCS tutorial in Cytology (Guimarães, Portugal, Portugal, 14.-18.10.2013) was granted 27 European CME credits (ECMEC) by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME).Event code: 9620 - (log in with event code). At the end of the first day, all participants are invited to a welcome dinner at Vila Flor restaurant, a short distance walk from the hotel. This will be an opportunity to relax with all other participants, but also to taste Minho’s traditional cuisine and enjoy a short guitar recital from one of Portugal’s most promising guitar players, Manuel d’Oliveira.

The Plataforma das Artes e Criatividade is a recently inaugurated facility near the city centre. Once the town’s central market, a new building was created and it’s now a place for concerts, exhibitions and all sort of cultural activities, that among others host the José de Guimarães collection on a permanent basis.

Getting to Guimarães is an easy half hour drive from Porto, where the international airport is located.

It's possible to fly to Porto from most European
cities, check for a flight here at Quality Tours.

Once in Porto a shuttle service will be available to
take you to the city of Guimarães, here’s the
schedule for the service.

Once in Guimarães, there’s no need to rent a car to move to the hotels or to the city center! Enjoy the city and “walk it”… on foot! It’s the best way to get to know people, to find out the eternal secrets, to smell all the flavours and to discover historical heritage and beautiful sightseeings.
